Ashton W. Hecox, D.D.S.
"Carrying on the tradition of Hecox Dentistry that my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather have established is not only an honor, but a privilege. I hope to continue our century old tradition of compassionate, excellent care and bring in a new era of modern technologies and techniques." -Dr. Ashton Hecox
Dr. Ashton Hecox graduated in 2012 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center-College of Dentistry. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Ashton returned to the family practice and makes up the fourth generation dentist in the Hecox family. He has thoroughly enjoyed being back in the local area and getting to work along side his father, Dr. Mike Hecox. Dr. Ashton enjoys practicing dentistry and building life-long relationships with his patients. He is excited to bring new technology and techniques to the area. Dr. Ashton and his wife, Sara, currently live in Gothenburg in which they are active in the community. In their spare time they enjoy many outdoor activities such as kiteboarding, wakeboarding, snowboarding, mountain biking, and paddle boarding. You will probably see them around town walking their golden retriever, Maverik.
Mike W. Hecox, D.D.S.
"Nothing makes me happier than watching my younger patients grow up inside and outside of my office. I've seen many patients since they were knee high and they seem like family. I'm so honored to be a part of others' lives in a way that keeps them smiling and healthy. Many have entered my office with their hands trembling and left wondering why they were nervous in the first place. That's what it is all about: keeping my patients in a fearless and comfortable state-of-mind. Now, with my son, Ashton, joining the tradition and being able to practice together... It just doesn't get any better than that." -Dr. Mike Hecox
Dr. Mike has been practicing since 1983 when he came back to Cozad to practice with his father, Dr. Fred W. Hecox. Drs. Fred and Mike practiced together for 15 years before Fred retired in 1990. Dr. Mike has enjoyed his career as a dentist and his favorite thing in the world is seeing new smiling faces. When not in the office Dr. Mike enjoys hunting, fishing and hanging out with his dog, Boz, who is a chocolate lab. Dr. Mike and his wife Dawn have three boys: Dr. Ashton Hecox, Tarron Hecox, and Cullon Hecox. They all truly enjoy when they get to spend time as a family.

"It is humbling to work with the tradition of Hecox Dentistry and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve such an outstanding community. I was raised in an environment which imparted the importance of family, friends, and faith. With these basics, I plan on providing the best care possible to all of my patients.
Orthodontics provides me with the opportunity to interact with individuals of all ages and create lifelong results. It is my duty and responsibility to make connections and positively impact the lives of others."
